Boost pattern question

Ok, my car went into the shop not too long ago. One engine, two turbos, and a clutch later, I have it back and its running perfectly. It is stock so far, with just the BOV mod (venting to the air), and a Blitz boost gauge installed. What should my boost pattern be like in all five gears? Should it be the same? I'm trying to determine if my gauge is defective.
As close as i can remember, each gear does this: (flooring it from 2K)
1st: 10 - 8
2nd: 10 -8- 10
3rd: 10- 9 - 10
4th: 14 - ?
5th: 14 - ?

I'm getting a 10-9-10 pattern in third, which is correct, right? (sorry, search disabled). But in fourth or fifth i'm getting 14 psi around 3k. WTF? Is this right? The old engine/turbos did the same thing.

Ok come on people, there must be someone who knows what their boost patterns are like in other gears besides third. Is this just boost spike? I'm ordering a manual boost controller, to see if that will help.

After running it again last night, i came up with the following changes: It seems like each gear is about .5 bar above the previous gear at around 3K.
1st: 10 - 7
2nd: 11 - 7 - 10
3rd: 12- 8 - 10
4th: 13 - ?
5th: 14 - ?

Hmm. Denver. What's your altitude there? I'm in NM at 7000ft. My boost pattern in 3rd is 13-5-6. I thought I had a problem, but I was told it might just be the altitude. Do you have any kind of boost control (manual or electronic)?

Sorry, I can't help with the boost in other gears. But if you're seeing wierd stuff, it could just be the altitude. Are there any other FDs around there that you can use to compare boost patterns?

Try PM'ing "suganuma". He is an experienced FD owner in Colorado and will know what's the proper boost pattern for your altitude. I don't think you are actually hitting 14 psi, as the stock ecu would fuel-cut at that point, even on the primary.

I installed home depot boost controllers in place of the wastegate and precontrol pills. I now have 10-7-10. If you think it will help, read all about my troubles here:
