Boost Level Problem. Help Please!

HI ! I was monitering my boost levels at different stages and noticed that boost went up a peak of 12psi and when the transition to the second turbo took place, the boost went down to 7.25psi and remained constant at 7.25psi. What could be the problem? My 7 is completely stock. Thanks in advance !!

Thanks Barban for responding! I am completely stock except for a mid-pipe which i am going to take off again and hopefully install a stock cat again. I also have an aftermarket cat back exhaust. That's all..

It seems you have two problems:
1) 12.5 psi boost spike
2) 7.25 psi instead of 10psi.

Definitely solve #1 before #2. Does your car have the pre-catalytic converter between the engine and midpipe? If not (I think the pre-cat is a US- and Canada-only part), then that means you are running an open exhaust, and that can cause boost control problems. I would put a high-flow cat or stock cat back in and see if that removes the spike.

Then when you have that configuration, troubleshoot the low boost.

Thanks Dave!! My car was imported from Japan and i don't know if it equiped with a pre -catalytic converter between the engine and the midpipe. Probably there isn't, although its still stock. The only parts from the whole exhaust which are aftermarket are the midpipe and the cat-back exhaust.
