Boost issue

Hello

I bought a rx7Fd3s with new stage 3 turbo chargers. EGR, double throttle, air pump delete. Vacuum lines are new and rewired according the simplified diagramm.

I guess the secondary turbo isn't working so the boost get lost in higher rpms, and after a shift the boost is almost gone..

What I did:

Pressure tested the boost pipes from charger inlet through the intercooler till the intake throttle body.
Stock pills are assembled in the hoses from the waste gate.

Anyone know this issue already?

Cheers

Rob

You've got a dead solenoid most likely.

Thanks for your input Marf. Yesterday I checked all vacuum Lines and it seems that the Actuator Turbo control is not wired correct. The Lines are reversed, today I will confirm it and test it ...

Sounds like a strong possibility. I have one solenoid which goes open circuit once the engine is fully warmed up and I get exactly the same behaviour as you are seeing.

OMG! this was the issue. Know with the secondary kicks in i have 0.8 Bar boost and the car gets f***ing fast. With the stage 3 turbos is much more power in the lower rpm available. Whats the best AFR under WOT with these rotary? mine is pig rich with 11.5 under WOT and at Idle 12.5...

WOT, you should be at 11-11.5. Some will say 10.5. It really depends on your engine, supporting mods and such. A good tune should sort all of that out.

Glad you sorted it. As above, get a mapping session booked up!
