Boost gauge scale???
Hello ppl
Here is a picture of my gauges. Look at the factory boost gauge. Can you identify a pattern on that scale?
Isn't it the stupitiest gauge you've ever seen?
It measures up to 10*10Kpa on a scale of 7 lines....where is the 0.7bar for example????
Anyway mine goes all the way up where the 100Kpa ie 1bar is as soon i step on the petal with both 1st and 2nd turbo on our cold nights .

Wow, that is a pretty lame scale! Kinda like the water temp Since we haven't gotten a 7 in the US since '95, we don't have the stock boost gauge... just an even lamer oil pressure gauge, instead.
There's a small jpeg blur on the 3rd (and maybe 4th) hash from 0. Is the larger "10" hash the 7th from the 0? If so, then each hash from zero would be ~14.3kpa.
Looks like you'll have to eyeball it If you can trust that gauge that is...

Some Defi aftermarket gauges have some slightly oddball hashmark increments as well... something like 1.25 psi/mark.
Consider yourself lucky to have a stock boost gauge. Though I'd check your cold weather boost spike with another gauge, before trusting that thing.

I won't let go
it's 2.5 psi/tick, but if you look at the speedo (stock US), its increments are the same in terms of
"WTF did they do that for?" I think they're 2.5 MPH/tick
