Boost Gauge Installl

I know there's a lot of threads about this topic but I need help fast. I have an autometer boost gauge. Not vaccum and boost, just boost. I hooked the line to the UIM nipple but the boost reads a big fat 0. Probably because the UIM nipple is a vaccum line so where should I put the line to get boost. Please help

It is supposed to read zero unless you are on boost. If you boost the car, and it still reads zero, then it doesn't work, or you don't have it connected right. Is the gauge grounded?

Thanks guys, thats what I thought but I wanted to make sure. I didn't want to run all the wires, hook the gauges up and have to take everything back down again cause it wasn't working. Thanks again
