Question Boost gauge install on sequential system?

Hi. Anyone out there know how to install a boost gauge to each turbo on the stock sequential set-up so that i can get separate readings for each turbo?

Thx

You'll have to get the pressure from the Y pipe. And thus you have two options: tee off some existing lines or physically drill and tap into the Y pipe. One has to be on the rear side behind the charge control valve, and one has to be on the front side before the two pipes join. I would drill and tap.

I don't understand why you want two boost gauges. The primary turbo supplies boost below 4500 rpm, then the secondary comes on. They merge together in the y-pipe, mimicking one turbo. It is not like there is a turbo on either side of the engine.

^ agreed. it's one of those things that you would monitor mostly for curiosity's sake, mostly to observe behavior during transition. If there's a problem with the sequential system running two boost gauges isn't going to be that helpful of a diagnostic tool.

Having 2 boost gauge is a waste of money. Even for trouble shooting if you are running sequential. There is no need for it. If you k ow what you boost gauge is suppose to read then you be fine with just one.

The best way for you to diagnose twin system is to plug a boost gauge on your presure chamber and a vaccum gauge on the vacuum chamber.

Yea, no.

You're just going to end up making things overcomplicated.... and the FD is already complicated as it is for a new owner, even some of the gurus tend to get frustrated sometimes.
