I was driving down the freeway and went to excelerate and the cars rpm went up but the car did not excellerate as the turbos spooled. I know the turbos are spooling because the blow off valve and went off as i released the pedal. Does anyone have any suggestions. The car is spooling but the boost is not helping to excellerate the car.

 

Sounds like your clutch is slipping.

Also, you should have a boost gauge.

also check for vacuum leaks

I don't really have the resources to start tearing it apart looking for a vacuum leak does anyone have a suggestion as to where and start for the most plausible line that would leak. Also someon explain the clutch to me. I am not exactly maintenace savy but if the clutch is not being used....then why would that cause my car to boost but not accelerate when in gear. Like I said, I am not a maintenace guy....just please explain it. I am not doubting you but I need to know what I am about to get myself into. thanks for all the help everyone!
