Boost controller ? for stock twins

ok whell me and my firend installed a greddy boost controller type S on his 7 and this week hopeing to do mine.... ok whell i had to go after he installed it and he only could take me for a ride to set/test/ whatever... and he says he doesnt feel like the transition 10-8-10.. i mean the controllers working since when its off he only gets 7psi... would it just have to be tuned properly or did that like change the turbos to non seq?... sorry for the stupid ? i just need to know before we work on my car

No, the boost controller will have no effect on the turbo operation! You are just switching a solenoid in line with the existing line connecting the primary turbo housing and wastegate actuator. Did you guys install it correctly? Cap off the nipple at the actuator and the line from the rat's nest?
