Boost controller question...help

I am new to RX-7, I have a cheap manual boost controller that I would like to install in a twinturbo. I searched for a diagram how to install a boost controller.
I found one that came from a guy Rob. Kinda complicated they way he stated the installation. Is there anyone out there can push me a simple diagram
where to locate and install the manual boost controller in twin turbo setup?

Also what is that "pill" you talked about in regards to the turbo hose? Is that a small restriction inside the turbo hose?

Thanks a million

This link will have everything that you need.

The pill is found in the stock hose and will need to be removed when installing the boost controller.

Thanks...

Another question, I only have a boost controller.
In the picture, It shows where to cut the hose and where to install the manual boost controller. I can do that but what is that pre-controlled boost unit showing in the other line. Do I need to buy that?

Where is the restrictor pill located at?
so I can replace them with regular vacuum hose.

Thanks

Is the reason to install the boost controller to raise the boost? If that's what you're trying to do, are you aware of the numerous issues surrounding that?

The rx-7 is not capable of simply getting it's boost raised and having the ecu compensate for that. It's likely going to cause you to get fuel-cut(best case) or blow your engine(worst, but likely case).

You said you're new to rx-7s. I suggest you make sure to read up on it a lot before you do anything at all especially raise the boost.

If you already know all that, then just ignore this post

That's the max I would like to go.
Presently, I am doing 7psi.

I still need the questions I posted.

Stock boost level is 10 PSI if you are still using the stock twin turbos. If you are only getting 7PSI, you have a problem (most likely, missing boost pills in the lines).

Below are the lines with the boost pills:

Oh.....that's pretty good picture. I think you are right.
That line has been replaced by the original owner.

Anyway, by putting a boost controller, then I might be able to bring back my 10psi without the pill.....right?

Thanks

Yes, that is correct.

I should mention that many people loss a little turbo responsiveness with the manual boost controllers (which is why electronic boost controllers are still around as they do increase turbo response to some degree).

I recommend that you do not install the prespool controller. Installing just the boost controller line makes for a very simple and effective boost controller. Installing the prespool controller complicates the adjustment process, making it virtually impossible to get things right.

Do not install the prespool controller. Just leave that line alone!!!
