boost controller ok on just an intake ?

if i get a boost controller... what's the safest psi i could boost on an FD with just an intake?
what's the best boost controller i can get?

just keep it at 10 or 11 to be safe. i have the greddy profec-b and it works perfectly, no complaints here

I agree. 10-11 PSI. The think the intake has a minimal effect on the safe boost level. The intercooler and the ocatne of the gas determines whats safe, assuming you dont' have water injection or something like that.

I'm using the Dawes device boost manual boost controller my self. Cost $30, or ~$15 if you goto a hardware store and make it yourself. A dual setting eltronic boost controller would be nice, but I would rather spend the $30 for a manual, tinker with it for a while to get the right setting, then spend the rest of the money on a DP or something. Since I dont' change my boost setting very often.
