boost control question

The way my turbos are working right now, they are non seq and no prespool....so they just come on. I have a new set of turbos, but I have a ? first. I am getting boost spikes...usually 12-15 and every now and then it'll hit like 17. I try to watch it and not let it spike that high. Will a manual boost controller work with this? I've seen a few of the sites. If it works, anyone have a preference to the best site?

I guess I need to mention that I'm running a DP, high flow cat, catback. And I do have a 2-1/2" restrictor plate in there.

Are you running a stock ecu? The stock ecu does NOT use MAP feedback to controll boost - the waste gate duty cycle is mapped based on Throttle position & RPM. The Boost level is/can be adjusted with restrictors in the pressure line between the selonoid and waste gate actuator - Either a "PILL" or a restricted nipple that slows the rate the waste gate reacts to the selonoid.
remove the waste gate restrictor pills (if any) and/or drill out the nipple (if the restricted one) and add a Daws device. then adjust it for the boost level you desire -

Yes I still have a stock ecu. So I can do the HD boost controller? It still works with my setup?

the Home Depot controler just works as an adjustable restrictor - it may help, but won"t be as effective as a pressure sensitive controller like the Daws Device.
