Bonez DP problems

I bought a stainless Bonez DP from someone on this forum and thought I would share my experience with this thing. This may not be the case with some of you but I had to drill out the bolt holes to get it to correctly line up with the cat. Also, I can't get the lower left side bolt to fit back into the turbo manifold, due to it being such a hard angle. I am running it with only three bolts. I will have to go buy another bolt and nut to try and get it in again. I have already ruined one trying,.

You need to go to a local auto parts store (Car Quest) and get 10mm X 1.5 Studs. They are going to cost you about $3 a piece and trust me thats a steel compaired to the dealerships $12 a piece. Also only replace the nut with a simular self locking nut. I recommend that you replace all the studs and nuts that you remove because they will get jacked up after one or two times on and off. It is also benificial to retap the manifold and put a little anti-seize on the stud before installing them. Good luck... Oh yeah to remove the original stud you are going to have to spray it sith liquid wrench and wait a few hours before attempting to remove it. To get it out use a pair of vice grips and wiggle it (tight then loose) back and forth and you will very very very slowly be able to work it out. Take your time and dont break it...

I had those problems with my last FD, the one I have now only has 12600 miles on it, and the studs came out without any problem thankfully. thanks for the advice.
