BNR twins got a test at 10 psi with LS1
Just wanted all to know who's been following the progress of my BNR twins and how they perfrom - I posted a race in the KILLS forum with a heavily modded LS1 - it was one great race and even at 10 psi, these turbos can perform up high - can't wait to get tuned at 15-16 psi!!

Best turbo work and customer service around. Just happens to have the best prices too. Fancy that.

BNRSupercars is Bryan Nickle's business who specializes in turbos. His turbo upgrades for the FD cost $1250 and $1650 for his Stage 1 and Stage 2. M2s cost $3K. Bryan includes a 1 year/ unlimited mileage warranty - M2 doesn't have a warranty. From what artguy has said, the M2s perform great - they are very expensive though. Single turbos - blah - everyone is going single nowadays. Upgraded twins add a uniqueness to the FD and keep with the original style and setup with the responsivess up 2 smaller turbos rather than one big single. I'm in the middle of some tuning issues but I'll keep everyone posted on the performance of these turbos once I can get my car tuned.

- M2 gives great low-end, but lags on the high end
- BNR is good all around and excels at the high end with greater boost, but ads a few hundred rpms on the lag due to it's greater compressor size and more blades.
- single tubros usually gives more lag, but insane HP on the top end. most of them are a bitch to tune right.
- BNR has a 1 year warranty on all their turbos and the guy has 5+ years of turbo rebuilding and machining. Basically he knows his **** and there is no middle man as a traditional retail store so the prices are very reasonable.
- As far as HP, from the few people that I talked to they are getting similar RWHP on a standard engine to a street ported engine with stock turbos. Just imagine the HP with street ported engine.........
That is all I have to say until they give me more info.

BTW, last I heard on the Stage 2, there is ONLY 1 person that has a sequential version. The rest are non-sequential models..
There will be more info on the sequential version soon.......

Mine was stock rebuild with ported wastegate running sequential.
Going to stage1 rebuild running sequential maybe next week or so.
I shipped him my turbo last week. He got it last week. He worked on several people turbos, perhaps Lost Time's.
He started working on mine Wednesday. He is shipping out today. I think that is very fast. The best turbo rebuilder on hand. I would not to anywhere else.
Will do dyno with stock ECU keeping boost at 10psi with Home Depot Controller.
I was advised to go up to 12psi. I have PowerFC for that as well. So later will dyno with powerFC at 10 psi and 12psi.
Gotta learn PowerFC first )

the m2 set gives good power throughout the entire rpm range. They flow almost instantly with full boost coming on by 2800 rpms. When my tech from the shop watched my boost guage the other day while we were problem solving some things he was very suprised at their spoolup time...VERY suprised. "holy **** these things spool up quick!" and in the high rpms "sheeesh...this thing really pulls!" he said I have the fastest rx7 that his shop deals with...and Im only running 14-15lbs of boost on them.
the bnrs are laggy with their heavy internals according to those using them. they are shaft style bearing and will thus cause more heat. The m2 set actually lowers under the hood temps because they run about 90 degrees cooler at peak than stock shaft bearing style turbos.
I lost low end with my big streetport....my only choice to get back the low end was to go with the m2 set. Just for the hell of it I tried running them non seq (poormans) and they pull like stink...especially up high. but non seq does not seem to be for me. I gotta love my sequentiall.
what batman says or heard is simply not true in that case. (only low end gains) I had hoped to race him at fontana...he could have witnessed the m2 set in all their glory.
Im currently only running 15lbs and am waiting on a 3bar map sensor to run 20 lbs on the high end. I got my 3bar profec b in the car two days ago and am getting closer to what I want to run every day.
When Im done I will do some dyno runs....Im as anxious as the rest of you to see the m2 dynoed turbos on a fully modified car.
when do we get to see the dyno sheets on the bnrs??

we should see the dyno sheet in about the same time it took to get the dyno sheet for the m2 ones.
actually it might be quicker then that.
i wonder why m2 doesn't have a 1 year warranty.........

yeah i was confused.....
i was thinking to myself....... all i did was speak objectively about the turbos from hearsay.
So who is this BATMOBILE character?
Artguy, when we meet at Seven stock you have to take me out for a spin in ur car.

no prob batman...still tuning it...got the fuel tuned perfectly for 15 lbs as of last night...but I have to get a hi flow cat because I think my stock cat is choked at 15lbs max. Hopefully i will have it all in and tuned by then. Im also non seq right now...I dont like that style at all unless I was racing at the track...so hopefully I can have all the seq boost issues worked out by then...my cat is part of the problem...but gotta solve all the problems.
