BNR Stage 3's + Steve Kan = DYNO SHEET!!!
Finally the wait is over, a dyno sheet is here.
First off my engine mods:
BNR built street ported motor with low compression rotors
BNR Stage 3 non-seq twins
Rotary Extreme V mount IC
Apexi Power FC
HKS twin power
550cc primary injectors with 1300cc secondary injectors
Walbro pump
Dp, resontated mp, N1 single tip
Taylor plug wires, running 4 B10EGV plugs
All pulleys
First off I wasn't wanting to push my car. I wanted 15psi and a reliable engine that would last for a long while. That being said, the boost held constant at about 12.5 (on boost gauge) until close to red line. Up high I had boost creep to 15psi. I was satisfied with the power so we stopped. Steve Kan did an outstanding job. After the tuning session, I took the car out for a spin and I'll I can say is WOW!!! My car drives better now than it ever has. I am very impressed with my twins and Steve's magic touch! On the way home the roads were dry so I could enjoy my new tune. I get full boost on my car at about 3700rpms and it holds constant until just before redline and then it creeps to 15psi just like on the dyno. It pulls like no other!

Unadjusted: max hp = 384 and max torque @ 303
Adjusted: max hp = 375 and max torque @ 295
(Temps and elevation on first dyno graph)
The air/fuel was a little off compared to my wideband so we tuned by my wideband and not the dyno o2 meter...

No vids. I was the first one on and not too many people were there yet. I was too busy watching my boost gauge and Steve so I didn't get too many pics either.
The afr's are about .5 higher on the graphs than were on my wideband.

Wow...375 at 15psi. Man...I'd LOVE to see what these babys can knock out at 20 psi! Unless the manifold is THAT BAD of a restriction, I'd say the proposed 420 is very attainable... Awesome run, and thanks for posting it! I know a LOT of ppl were waiting on this

is the break in the graph detonation?..so its basically 375 rwhp @ 15psi...hmm. Dont want to start a huge flame war but stokcers can do that or very close to it on ported motor.
maybe u have to turn up the boost to actually utilize these puppies. Why didnt u run 18psi?

But these are made to handle 20 - 22 psi, reliably. I think that's really the whole point. You can't run stockers reliably at 16 or 17 psi, but these babies should be breathing easy at 18 or even 19, and making lots more power AND torque than the stockers. Again, reliably.
i dont see the point in installing these unless u are gonna run high boost.

That's just the way the graph was setup to print. As stated up top, I didn't want to push anything. The only other time my car was on a dyno, it popped. I didn't want to screw with the boost controller too much to get a constant 15psi all the way through. I was happy with the results and I wanted off the dyno!

I don't think bnr's have been out long enough to say that you can run them at 20-22 psi. Actually, I've never heard of anyone running that much boost through them.
Boostn7 ran his stock twins at 19psi all day-every day with no problems.

the stockers cant handle 19....i think boostn7 was replacing sets often (thats what i keep hearing anyways)...i think he will chime in here.

i ehar aboiut hating dynos...make me nervous too
i just got the hks twin power...gonna test it on the dyno to see if it makes any real measurable benefit. Also going to turn the boost up to 16psi on the stockers...see what that yields. this will happen in april sometime.

I bought the stage 3's because apex seals were falling out of my stock turbos and besides that they had 86K on them when the motor popped.
My motor and stage 3's have about 2500 miles on them. I know I could have pushed it more but 375 is a huge increase from the old tired engine that I had. When the old engine popped it was making 260 to the wheels and that was after tuning. I think I'll be able to enjoy 375.
If you want to try a set at 20psi, have at it. I'm satisfied with 15psi!

No problems my ***. He went through many turbos to accomplish what he did. He also had very extensive tuning and what not. Also, I may be mistaken, but I think they were beefed up a little bit, although that may have been Kevin. From what I can tell AgentSpeed wanted the hell off they dyno so he could drive his car! lol I'm sure with a little bit of time and a constant 15 psi it would have put down more power and still be reliable.
