Well I have never ever ripped anyone off on this forum or anywhere for that fact. What I can say is that trying to rebuild these twins is almost impossiable. 99.9% failure rate on them from what peter has told me. That is why we dont offer a rebuilds just swaps. As for BNR maybe he has some secret sauce and can make it work. As for long term you the BUYER will find out. Not a gamble I would take. You have better odds in Las Vegas IMO. Why dont you guys let BNR get a fix before you bash them!

It seems like BNR and Bi-state are decent companies to do business with.

However, I agree that the posts Bi-state makes do seem insulting and way out of line (not to mention, kind of ignorant) for a company trying gain what could be a significant amount of business from this forum.

As for BNR it sounds like they are really trying, but I personally would not drop 2400 bucks on a product that is not been proven reliable and problem free. If they want to give me one I would be willing to test it
:D

Just my $.02

PFS did sell upgraded twins at least in the past . Garfinkle has a set in storage . It is hard to do any mechanical work with no failures. As long as the problem is fixed in a good time frame . We all hate down time because a vender is slow, but if the time spent is for improving the product, then we must take that time .

Sorry man, but you didnt buy BNR turbo's over a year ago. Especially stage 3's as they have only been for sale for about 6 months. I got the first set and dynoed my car in Jan 2003. They went on sale sometime after that. As for the paint, the only thing he paints is the turbine housings just so they dont look all ugly like all stock turbine housings do. The compressor housings and all the alum parts are not painted, they are actually blasted clean and they look brand new.

Brian will take care of you guys that have smoke issues relating to the turbos. Which should be obvious since he started the thread about his own turbos. Man, thats brave lol, but that shows his dedication to making everyone happy.

What oil are you guys running? If your running a real thin oil or a synthetic oil it might cause some problems. I run Val 20/50 VR1 racing oil and dont seem to have these problems.

Hey all. We got some interesting posts here and I can't reply to all of them.

I made this post to inform everyone that had stage 3's that I am resolving the problem. The only problem is the turbos are getting too much oil. I have restricted them quite a bit and I am restricting them more. It went from smoking like a chimney to little to no smoke. I am going to restrict them more, and then abuse the hell out of them :). Then the turbos will be fully taken apart and inspected for oil starvation. Then I will gladly send everyone fittings that are the right size. There isn't a problem with the turbos, just the oil needs to be restricted. I have been running 17 PSI on my set for about 6K miles. Right now the car is satisfactory for me, but I am going to excede that until it is perfect. Then it will be time to make everyone happy that has a set of stage 3's. I am glad to have peoples support, and I hope it stays that way.

Hey Bryan, it's Rob. I will be needing a set of those when you are finished with testing. I hope it all works out well. Thank you for the great customer support.

Ahhh, I thought he was speaking of stage 3's since those were that the thread was about. I guess I should have known it was off topic lol
