Bnr Stage 3 turbos for 300 bucks. (not broken either)
So I went on this long adventure down from columbus, ohio to maryland to sell my FC, to virginia to pick up my motor, and to NC to get the shell.
Once in virginia, the guy I got my parts from (fritz flynn from here) he offered me this BNR stage 2 turbo for 300 bucks. Said the manifold needed a bit of work but he'd let me have em for that much. I said ok fine sure whatever, we were doing this at 5 am because we'd been driving all night and he woke up early to come meet us as we were headed to NC to get the shell which I thought was rather nice of him.
Well I get it back home, get it to a friend of mine at the rx-7 store (his name is mike, so NOT xavier or jason working on my whip) and he put my wiring harness back on for me. Low and behold we go to put the y pipe on the turbos and it won't fit. Kept checking it out and were wondering well why the hell won't it mate up? I called brian down at BNR and he said that the stock y-pipe should fit fine on a stage 2. I described it to him and what not and he said "ha that's not a stage 2, it's a stage 3. It needs to have the y-pipe modified in order to fit on there." Mike and I both looked at each other and started laughing. After all the hassle i went through to get this car back up here and together, at least SOMETHING nice happened. We checked the turbos out completely, and everything else is fine. Even the manifold isn't as thrashed as I thought it was, just a couple hair line things that needed touching up.
So, for 300 bucks, I got a $2600+ turbo. Yeah.... I need to get some more things now.

Fritz probably bought them from someone else that didnt know what they had. Isnt that crazy. Parts, engines, and cars change hands so fast around here and people dont even know what they have. What a deal......damn your lucky.

Honestly I think fritz was being rather nice to me just because he understood and knew the crap i had to go through to get to him in the first place. Fritz is definately a good guy I need to go post that up in the good guy/badguy forum.

BTW remember to have the turbos looked at by Brian because they are blowing oil.
If you need the modified efini Y pipe I'll be happy to let you have it for $175 shipped.
Thanks,
Fritz
