Blow-off problems? need help
hi all, this is my situation, i have a blitz dual dd blow-off for about 2 years.
Last night while the car was under full throttle on 4th gear at 60mph, the boost climbed quickly to 0.8 bar.
When it hits about 5500rpm, i started hearing repeated pshhh sound just like the noise a blow-off would make, but i was actually still flooring it. tried that again a couple of times and the same things happened. I also noticed that when that was happening the boost level fluctuates rapidly between 0.6 to 0.8 bar.
All the connection between the hoses seemed fine.
Here are my question,
Has anyone encountered the same problem before?
Is it due to a faulty blow-off?
Does it hurt the engine in anyway while it was doing that?
Any help is appreciated, thanks

Are you sure it's the BOV and not a IC coupling (or some other location) leaking?
I've heard of Blitz BOV's eventually leaking, however, I've never used one so I don't have any first hand expereince with them.

Did it never do that before?
I had the older version of the Blitz, and I was able to tighten it when boost started to leak at higher lvls of boost.
I did have the BOV stick open all the time, but that's not happening to you. But this was fixed easily as well.

thanks for all the help guys, i will check for all possible vacuum leak, but my first guess is still the bov since when it was happening i let off the throttle for a second and then flooring it again till redline. The boost level was then normal all the way till redline as it should without any leak. But anymore suggestion is deeply appreciated.
Does this hurt the engine in anyway tho?
