Block off flange on pipe from turbo to ic

So I want to block off a flange from my turbo to my IC since i don't want an aftermarket BOV. My question is, can I use duct tape as a quick fix for now? I plan on getting a block off plate fabbed, but i really want to put the IC in for now since its quite an improvement over stock.

If I can't then I can leave my stock one on for the time being since nothing is wrong with it, I'm just checking. Thanks guys.
