Block the Air Line on a Hi-Flow Cat

Am running a Bonez Hi-Flow cat. It has a tube for the air pump, but I am not running a pump. What should I use to plug the tube? Does it get hot enough to melt a rubber hose?

You can use a rubber stopper. I used a think coat of RTV inside of a rubber stopper to help protect it and never had a problem.

Thank you for the reply. Are you talking a stopper like for a test tube? Is there exhaust pressure on it trying to blow it out?

You can get table leg caps from Lowe's, etc. They fit almost perfect. There is a big thread about it here on the forum. They are pretty strong but you might have to replace it after a while because of the heat. Been on mine for a couple of years, same set-up as you. No problems.
