Blitz SBC ID3

Im taking my last big parts plunge of the school year as I have exhausted my funding and need to pay for real college next fall.

Im going to be purchasing the Blitz SBC power meter/boost controller and I was hoping you guys could tell me how sweet or crappy it is. The reason I am getting this is because id like some data-logging ability and to combine my boost controller and boost guage to reduce clutter. Any info at all welcomed beyond what you know ive already read.

Thanks a million guys,
Dave

I love mine, i didnt have room for the power meter. So if you want ill sell you the power meter and you can just buy the controller, it is black. I have used the apexi avc-r hks evc v and the greddy. The blitz it personally my favorite and does an excellent job of controlling boost. Do a quick search, their are a couple of nice threads on how to install them.

No matter what, you really need a boost gauge as well as the boost controller. The screen on a boost controller typically won't update quickly enough.

I have the Powermeter ID, and it does work pretty well. My only gripe is the screen is VERY tiny. It's useful for seeing realtime horsepower, but that's about it.

I almost disagree with everything your saying Dale..

I got rid of my boost gauge because I stopped looking at it. As far as update time it was the same as the boost guage when I had them both. A benefit of the blitz is that it graphs the boost so I can look at it after the acceleration is done.

The power meter is one of the most useful additions I made. Hook it up to the ecu so it knows your speed and you can control your boost based on speed - 12 psi up to 30 mph, 14 psi 30-45 mph and 16 psi for anything above.

And the horsepower feature is worthless unless I built the engine better than I thought and am getting 600+ horsepower on a regular basis.

I give the setup 2 thumbs up...Boost control is rock solid (unless you loose your wastegate hose as I did)
