I received mine in Oct 2002, and installation was as easy as doing any other electronic boost controller.

Found some better USER instructions on the WEB that gave more detail and used them instead of the pittiful manual.

After setting everthing up, went for a drive to adjust the boost. That is when I ran into a problem. With the controller in monitor mode only, it worked correctly.
When in any of the 4 boost control modes, it would "TURN OFF" as soon as boost went over 1psi.

I sent it back in under the warranty on 27Oct and I am still waiting for a replacement or whatever!

It was just device malfunction correct? Not assumed to be anything related to not functioning properly on an FD3?

Thanks

The Blitz DSBC Type S is a single soleniod wastegate controller. I don't know if this controller will work well with the twin setup. The Blitz DSBC Type R is the dual solenoid controller; this is the one that is commonly mentioned for the twins. Aside from Chuck's response above, I've never heard of any bad experiences with the DSBC. I'm currently looking at the DSBC Type R along with a couple other boost controllers ... if money is no object, the Blitz SBC-iD is supposedly the best you can get. I guess you get what you pay for.

Vosko, myself and a few others are using the Blitz SBC-ID, yes, it is $$$, but it does rock!

Yes you are correct, the type s is a single solonoid. I do believe the type r operates the same as the type s though, just more pricey because of the dual solonoid... Anyways, from a little experimenting I've done today, and hearing from someone who's done this, it looks as if this route will work for the seqentials. The only problem I can see so far is it opening the secondary wastegate at the same time as opening the pre control. From my observation it makes for pretty large boost drop in the transition period between turbo's. But it does seem to rebound fairly quickly.... Not sure if it's worth trying to smooth out or not. I think the best bet would be to bite the bullet and get the SBC ID.......
