Blinker mechanism issue

Yes i have searched and can't find anything.

I think I might be missing a part somewhere in the mechanism. My blinker will either stay going right all of the time or left all of the time. It will never shut off. There is a screw sticking out as you can see in the pics I don't know if something else is suppose to be here or what. It feels like the mechanism is very loose too. Is something broke? please help........here are some pics

I had the same problem with mine for a while minus the screw sticking out...after about a month of playing around with it and getting no where I finally just gave up and ordered one from Mazda (especially because I was ripping apart my steering column anyway) its the entire assembly...It was about 79.00 from my local mazda in Escondido, CA...but I actually just came across one of them on Ebay the other day...Its not brand new...but here's the link anyway

Haha no problem I understand the feeling...I had mine zip-tied so it could barely move...then I pretty much just looked over my shoulder every time I changed lanes making sure I wasn't going to get pulled over for "not signalling"...best of luck with the bidding and future installation
