It's usually only a problem when you drain and refill your cooling system. Because the radiator in the 3rd Gen is tilted at such a severe angle, it can be difficult to get all the air bubles out.
After the coolant has been replaced, run the engine to allow the coolant to circulate. Then stop the engine and take the cap off the filler neck. (not off the AST. The filler cap is the one on your left as you face into the engine bay. It has a yellow label.) You will probably notice that the coolant level has dropped down the filler neck. Fill with water until it covers the little hole in the neck. Turn the engine on again. Recheck the coolant level and repeat this process as many times as necessary until the coolant level reaches to a point just below the little hole in the filler neck.
