Black Canister Near Gas Tank?? I may have almost died

Short Version (tldr)

Black canister right in front of fuel tank with 2 lines on top and 1 line on bottom(vented to atmosphere) was pumping fuel out of the bottom line all over. I am in the process of aSingle turbo swap with 1600 cc injectors installed and switched to a parallel fuel system instead of series. I have removed pretty much all emissions. Any ideas? why this is happening?

Long Version/More details

Alright, so, my car has been in the project stage for awhile. Yesterday i pressure tested the fuel system via the diagnosis jumpers and it hit 50 psi and nothing was leaking. Over the course of 15 minutes or so the pressure returned to 0 and i didnt notice any fuel leaks or smell. Move forward to today, i finally decide to try to start it. Remove the plug wires and crank it for about 30 seconds to get the oil flowing through the new single turbo and let everything get to know each other. I hook my plus up and crank it over....and within 2 rotations the thing starts up...sweet baby jesus....ive done far less severe things to this car and had a much harder time starting it. It ran decent. Then there was gasoline everywhere. EVERYWHERE. And note that i had to jumpstart my car...so then i was freaked out that my attempt to unhook the jumper cables and battery would cause an explosion inducing spark. So 2 things of cat litter, a broom, a giant fan, and one hell of a headbuzz later Im underneath and found where its comn from. There is a black canister right in front of the fuel tank. Has a line coming from up front, a line from the tank, and a line on the bottom that seems to just vent to atmosphere. It was quite literally pouring fuel out. No i wouldn't say pouring...i would say pumping fuel out. Keep in mind i recently installed 1600 cc fuel injectors and switches to a parallel instead of series system for my fuel. I have the fuel feed line plugged into the line closest to the front bumper, and the return line from my fpr running into the line closes to the fire wall. I have all emisions removed. Maybe i didnt block something off, i dont know. I dont even know what to call the black cylinder yet.

It's look like you invert your fuel return line with your vent! When do do that all the fuel returned to the charcoal canister and not to the tank

GL!

is it possible the return line to the gas tank got switched to the vent line to the charcoal canister, either in the engine bay, OR in the back by the tank and canister?
