With bigger and brighter lights, has anyone thought about...
what it might take to retro-fit some auto-dimming side mirrors?
I know I can't be the only person that has problems with other cars' headlights. We sit with our heads (and rearviews) right at headlight level, and especially when jim-bob puts some new deerkillers on his truck, it annoys me to no end. It's not just the trucks either.. not a lot of people that upgrade their lighting are courteuos enough to aim the damn things correctly. I'd love to hook up a pair of stobe lights to the rear, just so when they blind me, I can blind them. But that's not going to happen. Well, maybe not.
I've looked around and I've only found a few companies that do anything even remotely close to this.. Gentex & Donnelly makes the typical auto-dim rearview, and there was another (I can't find the site right now) that made retro-fit side mirrors with turn signal indicators.
Anyone else looked into this? With all of the product development going on here, maybe there's a hope..
