Only if the engine checks out. Compression test, service records - it is all still equally important.

94s and 95s go for more money, so that also says something about the average demand. I paid more for mine. The interior and exterior generally has much fewer problems, there are no recalls, and you get dual airbags. 95 gets you R-134a-based A/C refrigerant which is affordable to service.

If you're going to start putting mods into it or repaint it, I'd go ahead with a 93.

It's better to find an FD that was treated right than worry about the year. You can find a very well treated '93 of a poorly treated '95. In that case, the '93 would be the better buy.

It all depends on the past owner(s).

stay away form the 93's. First production run with multiple problems. Happens a lot with any first production run car. Heard the first year C5's were problem prone too.

'93's have a laundry list of TSB's (you can look them up via an internet search) which were fixed by '95. If similar in price, I'd get a '95.

The 2 major problems with '93s, over the 94/94's (that were not recalls) were:

1. Interior panel paint chipping
2. Exterior body paint chipping

Most likely, most of the 93's you'll find will have already been painted at least once by now. Even then, paint condition will depend on how the car has been treated. The interior panels will probably have been redone as well. However, if not, it's a very easy thing to take care of...

Pretty much everything else as far as TSB's on 93s and 94s won't really matter since with the age of the car, things will have already been taken care of or replaced.
