My FD is pretty stock but I have to say..

Best mod: aftermarket steering wheel with quick release hub. Without it, I can hardly fit in the car with my long legs (I'm 6'6")

Worst mod: Honestly, I don't really have one since I don't have too many mods, but I would say my AutoMeter triple a-pillar gauge pod- I like it but it's a little ricer, if I had to do it again I would get a triple or quad center speaker pod

Best mod: SMIC. After maxing out at about 285whp on the stock IC, replacing it probably made the biggest difference above any other mod I've done.

Worst mod: Running 850cc primaries. The fuel was there but I never felt I could get an acceptable tune. The change, IMO, caused more problems than it solved.

Best Mod: I have like 152 of them, so I can't choose just one....... I'd say the 500R turbo kit, and the Exedy twin plate clutch. Perfect street turbo, awesome powerband, dead reliable on road and track. The clutch has great feel, easy to drive, and can handle anything I throw at it. It's one less thing to worry about

Worst Mod: Probably deleting the P/S and looping the line. Lived with it for too many years.... numb feel, lots of effort needed, waaay too much feedback over bumpy roads. Went with a Maval manual rack recently, and was very impressed. Made an amazing change to the driving experience.

Best mods: 20b install, my DIY HID projectors, and my rotary themed subs (love the sound)
I dont have a worst mod yet because I'm trying to regain the factory refinement with all the stuff I've done. Ask me again in about 4 months when everything is done. LOL!

Best Mod: I'm with Rich on this, 500R turbo kit! Fast spool, great power all around, reliable and most of all makes driving the beast very fun on the streets or track.

Worst Mod: Transmission brace (Dragon). That noise and vibration was just not worth it! I could literally feel every movement of the gears. Figured I could live without it and been fine with Gotham urethane motor mounts and a Dragon diff brace only...

Not many mods done but spent lots of money:

Best:
Ten years ago had my first Rx7 painted and door-dings removed at the Mazda dealership for like $4k. Had people lined up to buy it when I went to sell it. Guy didn't even test drive it, just wanted it with crappy engine for $15,500.

Worst:
Crappy BF Goodrich all season tires I put on first Rx7. Leather paint to try to make seats look "like new" without replacing leather.

Best mod: So far i really like my Rotary works TB, makes everything simple.

Worst mod: 2way LSD FML its horrendous to drive on the street clunks like no other, but is nice when needed. Still much prefer swapping out to a 1.5.

I forgot about that thing. Never had one. Truly a major piece a crap. The black plastic was so thin you could see thru it. Really a surprise that RB would produce something so bad.

I haven't done a lot yet so...

Best: greddy SMIC (although I feel like I should've went bigger)
Worst: PLX wideband (sensor burned out after 1000 miles)

I'll report back after spring when I take care of some stuff.

In all of my mods it came out to the most basic changes:

Best: Racing beat catback (must have peace and quiet at cruise)
Worst: pettit AST (it didn't seal properly and after searching I wasn't alone on this, it took years to figure out why my coolant kept leaking out of the overflow tank).

You have the RB dual or single tip?

I was really thinking about changing out my PFS catback. Although its probably one of the best sounding "louder" of the exhausts for our car, its getting too loud and annoying for my taste.

I get a sweet spot at around 2800-3000rpm at cruise in 5th gear but anything under and it drones. Anything over and the car is screaming.

People on the highway look at me like wtf?

Dual tip. Gotta be incognito here in CA on looks and sound otherwise it's ticketville

I used to get zero drone with a resonated MP and stock twins. Now that I'm single I get a slight drone at anything above 80 MPH but nothing too crazy. From what I hear the greedy SP is even quieter.

QFT, dual tip is pretty quiet and I have a full 3" all the way back, no cat or anything. No idea about the greddy SP though.
