Best way to remove old wax from FD

Anyone with some pointers on how to remove old wax build up in and around grooves and creaves in the FD. I have tried just plan old q tip but some wax is too old for this and won't budge...

thanks for any pointers!

Try taking a hair dryer to the really crusty stuff and see if it softens it up. Some waxes it will work like a charm, others I have seen it do nothing to. A soft bristle toothbrush also works really well at cleaning cracks out.

I always use an old toothbrush to get rid of the wax that is hard to get out of the grooves.

First poor about a gallon of gas on the car.Let it stand for a few minutes so it can really soak in well, You may get some blistering but that just means that the dandruff medicine is working. Then take a flame to it. When the fire department comes they will spray it with a very high pressure hose and will take ALL the wax right off Donovan

dawn dishwasing soap takes wax right off. Use a toothbrush or q-tip for select areas..but if you are planning on re-waxing anyways, just strip the whole car, and re-wax.
