Best Place to get a reasonable 99 spec bumper.
Anybody know a good place to get a reasonably priced 99 spec bumper? I'm not too concerned it its 'original', just good quality and does not include the license plate cover.
I couldn't find one in the classifieds and can't find one. Looking on line, there is
- bodykits.com
- Ground Dynamics Raceonusa Urethane JDM 99 Spec Plateless Front Bumper > Mazda RX7 93-97 > 3-Door - Ground Dynamics
- Old the old reliable ebay. KBD RX 7 FD 93 97 2dr Coupe Front Head Bumper FRT Corner Signal Lamp Clear Sport | eBay
I know you get what you pay for, but since I am dropping 4g on a new paint job, I would prefer to keep it under 500 shipped. Anybody got any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dan

Petit Racing sells them as well...From what I've seen on Jhnrx7's car, it fit pretty damn good considering it was aftermarket. It's more than $500, but the extra money you spend on the bumper, you'll save in labor fixing a poor fitting cheap one.

From what I read the ebay bumper is decent other than it requires you to do all the mounting points. I've yet to see someone who has the ebay bumper post pics of quality of bumper and lights. Also I'd bet that Ground Dynamics is using the same mold for the one they sell as ebay. But that's an assumption...
This is an interesting looking one: http://www.grounddynamics.com/Type-9...-p/rac0699.htm

Strange that Ground Dymanics has 2 of them and the cheaper has the 'lip'. The difference I see with ebay is urethane vs. polyurethane. I am not sure which is better. I may call ground dynamics and find out which one might take stress better.
