best option for the fpd problem
reading the thread about the car blowing up and searching for others like it made me pretty paranoid to drive my car. I was wondering what is the best option to take to eliminate this fuel pulsation dampener problem cause i dont want my car to blow up. Theres the option to just get a new fpd, that cheap elimination, or the full out fuel system. does anybody know whats the best option because right now im doing my rebuild and i wouldnt mind spending a little more for a parallel setup so i can get rid of that fpd and just use the fpr. any suggestions

There isn't a consensus whether you should have an FPD or not. Some believe Mazda wouldn't have put it there if it didn't have a purpose, and others argue that the car runs fine without it.
IMO, it's the original/old FPDs that pose a risk. Once replaced, you've got 60-100k miles before replacing it again.
In most cases, a car that catches fire has fuel vapor smell when you poke around under the hood. It could be argued that looking for fuel leaks at every oil change is as important as any other method or upgrade.

yeah ive seen both of those and many forum members somewhat split on the opinion of what to do. Did anybody ever hear of using a Fuel Pressure Regulator as a Pulsation Dampener?
