Best engine management system?

Ok first off im gonna say yes Im sure this has been posted up before, probably quite a few times, and I tried using the little search tool and I didnt find anything im apparently not very good with it, and im limited on computer time as im deployed to afghanistan.

Im curious as to what engine management sytem to use and what people think is the best to use. I owned an FD a few years ago and had an Apexi Power FC wasnt all that impressed with it, so im wondering whats the best engine management system to go with and what will even work with these rotary engines?

The ABSOLUTE BEST no questions, hands down, undisputed Engine Management System to use in this car is, without a doubt, the one your tuner is adept at.

There is no other correct answer to your question.

Maybe you should provide what you are looking for in an engine management solution and what you didn't like about the Power FC (or what you felt was lacking).

Good answer and yes I agree no engine managment system is worth **** if the tuner isnt adept at tuning it. Anyone used HKS Fcon ProV? Or AEM AMS? Im looking into my options and I was just curious to see what other people think is best. I was thinking going AEM AMS with AEM water/meth injection setup figured it would be a good combination ive never used water/meth before so not too sure if they work better when combined. Ive run HKS Fcon ProV on an R32 GTR and it was great too.

The problem with the Fcon Vpro is that it is a completely closed system due to HK$'s tight control. The AEM EMS has easily available software. The EMS will be a good plug-and-play option for you if you want more features and adjustability than the Power FC. Just make sure you take it to someone who knows the EMS and also knows rotaries. That's not going to be easy.

The big reason the pfc is so common is its ease of use and the wide number of tuners comfortable with using it. With that said there is far better ecus out there. Not many people can justify the stratospheric cost of a high end motec or similar.

Alot of it comes down to what features you are looking for and what you want to pay. Them, as stated before, if your tuner is comfortable tuning with.
