Most downpipes are pretty much the same except for those like HKS which have the dent in them for the steering collumn(sp) in J-spec sevens, people prefer certain ones over others simply because some are easier to install then others. IF I am not mistaken they are all 3 inches ( for the twins ), so they all have the same flow. Some are mild steel which rust easier, but are cheaper, while others are stainless steel which are more expensive. Some people also jet coat the inside of them for heat reduction and better flow, but other then that, the ones that have the same bends, no dimple from the steering collumn, and are the same in width, are pretty much the same.
Most people go with M2's downpipe, I went with Petitt which is said that u have to remove the studs to install, but all I did was lift up the engine a bit with a crow bar and it popped right on.
Midpipes are similar to downpipes. As far as I know all of them are 3 inches, unless custom made. Some are stainless steel some are mild steel.
Basically you want to go with the one with the straightest bends for better flow. Also depending on your cat back they will be very loud without a muffeler of some sort installed, so some people get borla muffelers welded in place of the cat.
I think I pretty much covered it?

They are all basically the same. From what I've read the M2 is the easiest to install but I don't see how they could be too much different. Just get a decent quality so the welds are good and they're the right length.
