best deal ever

I was getting gas the other night and i started talking cars with this guy i used to go to school with. Well i tell him im looking for a third gen. He goes my friend has one he blew the engine in it though. I smile to myself cause that's exactly what i want. I asked him if he was selling it he goes yeah he wants like $2,500 for it. I had to struggle to keep my jaw from hitting the ground. I then ask if there was any body damage he goes no looks good. I say the engine is just blown right. He says it was, he sold it to a junk yard for $200 bucks. I almost cried. He is just selling the frame and he doesn't have the engine. I left with a somewhat said look on my face.

as long as the body and everything is in good condition, i wouldn't care how much an engine would cost, you wouldn't be losing money, it's one hell of a deal

Stick a rebuilt 2 rotor 13B-REW (even a cheap jspec) in the FD if you plan to buy and build it.

A 3 rotor involves a lot more than shoehorning it a chassis (EMS, fuel, ignition, cradle, modified spindles, or other alternatives).

Doh!!! Snook's right.. I should have told you it was a rip of and not worth it!!(And then got the guys phone number from you in some unsuspecting way lol)

Seriously though if you aren't going to buy it then please let Snook or some other local member have a stab at it. It's better it go to a forum member who knows the car then to some 16 y/o who knows nothing about it.
