A thought out car in the color black I think shows the best curves and accentuates certain features when done well. A Yellow car, not trying to hate, is an eye sore.
Think of women wearing different colors. Black is slimming and accentuates the curves, if some chick wore bright yellow pants you would think, ehhhh. Then when they were a color that pops with black, it's like, damn she is hot. like a purple or pink bright color, yellow works with black as well.
White is just a clean color, I don't know if it will show the lines the best, but its clean. I still think if you want to really pop, do a color scheme I had on my old wheels and car. black color car, SBC deep dish wheels, and get some gold lug nuts or some color that POPS out. it has depth, it slims, and accentuates the good features.
Hmmm, I think I know what you're talking about, but IMO they only look "lemon-like" if the CYM is older and faded. Properly applied FRESH CYM looks just like the example Montego is sharing, and it has a lot of pearl and metallic in the paint.

That's true. All the CYM I've seen seem to be original paint or mismatched with fresh and old paint.
I'm probably wrong, but that FD doesn't look bright yellow enough to be CYM to me. It looks more like Blazing Yellow Mica, which Mazda used later on on cars like the MSP and Miata SE
