Best Alloy Rad For the Money

What is be best alloy rad out there for the FD, i want to find one for a reasonable price. I just got a new engine and the shop said i would need one before summer so im just going to get one now.

i think you can get a koyo for around 380, maybe cheaper now. i got mine for around that much 6 months ago.

It's all about personal preference in my opinion. The important thing is to make SURE the mechanic installing it (if you go that route) is comfortable doing it. A well-known shop here in SoCal by the name of Tripoint (http://www.tripointengineering.com/) quoted me $500 for the install of my $370 Koyo. They claimed they had to "fabricate" all sorts of crap to make it fit. I said OK and took it to Mazdatrix (http://www.mazdatrix.com/) who said it installs fine and charged me ~$200.
Oh yeah, Tripoint sells Fluidynes exclusively....

I have a PWR and am very happy with the fit and finish. The screw mounts were properly threaded and all the fittings were in the right location. The price is similar to the koyo. If you want to get creative look into a Griffin radiator. They're about $100 cheaper than the koyo/pwr/fluidyne and can be ordered in a bigger core size.

And IMO it's worth installing yourself. There's really nothing tricky about it. If you save $200-400 that will allow you to make another car purchase guilt free!

My M2 went in with no problems, I was too lazy to do it myself, but I was told it was one of the closest to stock they had ever seen. Otherwise, there is the Mazdaspeed one.

Just ordered my PWR on Saturday for the rx7store for 420 along with an aluminum AST. From what I've heard it fits perfect.

After 6 months with my $185.00 El Cheapo copper and brass unit (which BTW is THE most efficient you can buy) I am 100% completely satisfied. A 2 row is more than sufficient unless you are getting into huge HP.

That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
