Best Aftermarket Turbo?

Ok, im going to state first that I just bought a 94 tt RX-7. I am looking for an engine setup that will produce between 420-500hp and was wondering what turbo would be the most responsive but still capable of these high end numbers. Please post your setups or recommend a full setup including turbos that will be capable of over 420hp. My last question is, what are the main differences between a GReddy t78 and a GReddy t88, both of these turbos seem very capable.I am a newbie, so please dont get mad but feel free to laugh all you want. Thanks for your help.

i reccomend checking out the ciriani website.

www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7 it has alot of rx7 information, if u are planning on doint a single turbo upgrade there are many other aspects such as a new ecu fuel system intercooler ect. but hey good luck man and as for the turbo id go for the gt35/40 i belive u can get those numbers with that, or the infamous rx6b turbo, hey i jus found out bout that, and i even have one lol

do some research, I believe this has been talked about before. T78 and T88 are good turbos, but if you are looking for less than 500hp there are a lot of systems out there that can produce that with very little lag.

bad, I don't get full boost untill 3700 rpm's, but I am hoping to eliminate that with some nitrous.

Such a broad topic, I suggest you A. Contact your local Rotary tuner and talk to him about your goal's for the car and see what he reccomends or b. research research research online. There's so many options out there from 99 spec twins to bnr stage 3 to T04E to T-88 every which one will give u a diffrent kind of performance.

Good luck!

Damn! Full boost at 3700 rpm is considered bad with a big *** t88... I did the Po' man's Non-seq conversion and I get full boost by 3800-3900. And, I know damn well that my car isn't putting down any where near T88NOSrx7's is...

Someday I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and Go Single.

What's that gonna cost? $6K?
