Belt size?
My friend wants to run a stock set up with no smog pump and stock pullies. He was woundering if any one new what size belt will fit this way. Sorry if this has been covered before.

But make sure you friend knows that there is virtually no performance benefit, there is risk of a belt slippage due to reduced contact on the waterpump pulley, his cat might prematurely plug and if he's still on the stock ECU, the car will likely run worse, not better. |

I have been wanting to remove it for some time, myself. Free up some space, less clutter...less CRAP. I hate emissions devices. Just..more...clutter. My FC had nothing but the bare essentials, along with A/C and P/S and I looooved working on it. I could actually GET to everything. Removing the air-pump, and the various do-dad's assosciated with emissions is always a great step when you start modifying an FD, based on what I've read, and from my experience. - M |

I ran my california 93 all stock with no smog pump and I would say if anything it ran better. I have know many FD's and have never seen one run worse with the smog pump off. I belive it to be a urban myth. But that is just my experiance with the many fd's I've worked on. Thanks for the threads.

Sorry man that sucks. Im not saying I dont belive you, just in my experiance with about ten diffrent cars there has never been any change in the way they ran. The only dif was there was now more room under the hood. I wish yours was one of those so you could get rid of it also. Thanks for the info.
