BELT rap on water pump...fix??

I'm running a short belt (i.e. greddy pulleys with ud crank) I noticed that the belt rap on the water pump is next to nothing. The guys at Tri-Power were going to make me an idler kit off the alt. braket to fix this. WHy? well, because with the car running at idle and the belt tightened (almost too much!) I can stop the water pump pulley with my hand. I was wondering if anyone can attribute this to addition problems of over heating? Anyone else make a solution for this? Anyone had problems with just leaving it alone?

Garfinkle makes an idler that replaces the air pump, he made the pulley as big as will fit to let it run as slow as possible .It adjust the same as the air pump.it is power coated and looks great. his car has underdrive pulleys.

I've seen that, however I'm on a single turbo setup and there is no room for that. If it mounted where the air-pump was I'd have to mount lower to clear everything.
