what lights stay on when the car is running?

most of the time when a bunch of lights stay on in the FD the alternator is going bad....simple fix.

No lights are on while driving, its fine, but just stays on when the ignition is at 'ON'

also I was cleaning the batteries negative terminal yesterday, and noticed I could not get it to spark what so ever when I was putting it back together? usually they create a spark dont they?

It's is normal that the battery light stay on until you start the car. This light shut off when the alternator turn and send a signal to turn off the light

Also just a quick question, does the negative battery meant to only have wires to chassis?
or are there anyother wires that need to run to it from factory ?

the negative terminal has a wire that bolts to the engine down under the A/C compressor and to the chassis of th.e car.

the terminals only spark when you have an electrical load on in the car when you connect the battery, the spark is from the instantaneous need for power from those accessories. if everything is off and no loads from alarm, stereo, etc then no spark and all is peachy. huge sparks when hooking up the battery means you have a problem, not the other way around.
