battery relocation in storage bin question
This is the one I used, the bottom tray is pre drilled for bolting it down.

$100 is not bad given the quality and the custom battery fitment. I made mine from about $5 in parts but it took forever and looks like **** (fortunately, it is mostly hidden when installed).
12v 44Ah...fits perfectly in the rear bin.
Werker 12V 44AH AGM Battery W/ Female M6 Terminal - WKA12-44C/FR - Batteries Plus

Odyssey PC925 fits fine in the rear bin when on its side. The only problem then is jump starting the car as there is not much room for jumper cable attachment but it's doable...
Super clean, Ceylon!
Sebasking, I used this 2 gauge "kit" http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g1220a
Also used a 150amp circuit breaker

Google "ls1 rx7 battery" and you'll find it. The website is ls1fc or something like that but it's the correct guide. Currently using it.
Just curious, but at the track during inspection would they even look for the battery in the rear bin? If so would a tie down be sufficient or would they want a box. Just wondering since I want to test it out at Texas Motorplex.
