battery problems

when i put in the new battery the thing starts to spark, what am i doing wrong.

Umm how about more info?

What starts to spark?

And are you sure you're putting the right cable ends to the right terminals on the battery?

A small spark is normal as there is slight power on all the time.

be sure to hook up the positive terminal first, (pretty duh, but had to throw that in)

and as busted said there is always some current being drawn regardless of what you do. unless you pull the main fuse (dont do it) a small spark is going to happen
