Battery Help.

I bought an rx-7 93 recently and it just so happens, ive been getting problems...

for one, the battery is acting up.
this has been the second time i couldnt even start the car. Last time, i jump start my car and let the car run for about 15 min. i spent about a good 3 to 4 times restarting and shutting off my computer just to make sure my battery was fine.
sometimes, i have to pump my brake when i shut off my car to get the brake lights to turn off. is that normal?

but even when i double checked my brake lights being off before i leave my car, my car did not start in the morning again!
when someone checked under my hood, they told me the battery i have in it is not for the car. are there certain types of battery that i need for this specific car? i also dont have a battery tray. the last owner replaced the battery and his tray was dead. where could i get a new one?

please help ;'[..

First off, welcome to the world of the RX-7. Sounds like you already have your hands full.

Second, do a "search" in this forum on battery problems. You may find an answer for you.

Third, if you plan to buy OEM parts, I highly recommend that you go through Malloy Mazda, as they give club discounts and shipping is extremely cheap. Malloy's number (toll free): 888-533-3400

Good luck.
