battery/alternator question
whats up guys- couple questions for you. I just got my car not too long ago, and i replaced my old battery cuz it was draining quick and eventually wouldnt jump. It started right up when i put the battery in, but a week later it wouldnt start again till i jumped it (after it sat for 2 or 3 days). The battery cables need to be replaced, they're all coroded and have electric tape wrapped around them. Do you think it's the cables or do you think it's alternator related. any imput would be helpful. thanks

Sound like and alternator issue if the battery is not charging. Also alot of rx7 owners have notice that the light in the glove compartment will stay on all night if the glove compartment is loose and will not shut resulting in the light staying on all night and which in turns drains the battery. Check this first before you fork out money for a new alternator.

If it only does it when it sits, sounds like a battery drain.
After hooking up an ammeter, and doing the dance of 1000 fuses, I traced my battery drain to the hatch cargo light. It was staying on all the time....easily fixed by flipping the switch on it.
