Battery Acid damage
Last night while working on the car I dropped a bolt and located it wedged beside the battery tray. So I decided to take out the battery and battery tray. I retrieved the bolt and found the area under the battery tray rusted through from acid. Previous owner must have never noticed and from the amount of dirt it's obvious the tray hasn't been removed in years.
Now this chassis bar is a bolt-on piece so it can be replaced. I need help finding the name or part number so I can begin the search for a replacement. Any help is welcomed. thanks

I had the same problem when I bought my first 3rd gen. The cross bar had completely rusted through and the acid had also made its way down to the radiator fan motor. That bar is about $60 new. I bought a used one on here for around $30 shipped.
I think they generally come painted black...but it can be pretty thin. If you happen to have some left over rattle-can black sitting on a shelf, it might due to scuff it up and give it a few extra coats.
