DAMNIT I HAVE 56K I DONT WANNA SEARCH...

now that im getting into the FD scene i need to be ready for any problems that may appear...such as new motors, tranny, turbos....the main parts of the car.. can someone post general prices of each and what installation would cost, and if its doable by myself..

An mazda reman is like $2500-30000 in the Nor Cal area. labor is like 20 some hours x $100 plus per hour. A used tranny from a import junkyard is around $400-$500, clutch job is around 5 hours of labor, a performance clutch is around $400-500. The turbos brand new are around $2000, i dont know how much the labor is but i guess between 5-8 hours. You can find a used set for $300-$800 on the forum, depending on their condition and mileage. Just to let you know it wont be cheap is you start breaking stuff, but its not that bad if you do it yourself. You can do most of the tings your self if your mechanically inclined but if you've nvever worked on a car before, this wouldn't be the car to start with unless you have a lot of time and you have anoter car as a daily driver.

the tranny brand new lists for $2000. the parts to rebuild it are $1200. the engine is between $2200-3500 depending on who you buy it from. labor to put the motor in is about $1000 plus the $500-$1500 worth of stuff you need (hoses, solenoids, wiring etc).
turbos are about 3k new $3-800 used, beware of rebuilds, they are inconsistent. radiator is about $600 installed, the downpipe is about $400-$800 (depending on the turbo studs), installed.
