How do I know if turbochargers are okay? I had my intake pipes off to replace some vacuum hoses, so I decided to wiggle the compressor around a little bit, and there was a small amount of play (up and down, not back and forth). It feels good driving it, and doesnt have any problem developing boost.

Does this mean that my turbochargers are bad? somebody justify my excuse to go get a single turbo

 

Oh yeah, sounds like your turbos are shot Send 'em over to me, i'll give 'em a good home. Naw, sounds fine. Mine wiggle just a bit, spray some carb cleaner down there then oil 'em back up before reinstalling. I did this and the spool time is faster than ****.
