Bad turbo diagnosis....

im trying to find clues of a bad turbo. im having a couple issues and im wondering if its a bad turbo or not. a little bit of smoke coming from under the intake somewhere, alot of white smokes coming from exhaust, vac. idle is at 10 instead of 20...so im just trying to find out how i would know if a turbo was bad, or what these problems could be from. thanks

None of the problems you listed would necessarily indicate a bad turbo. More likely leaky gaskets or a bad engine.

first i'd check where your vacuum leak is coming from, cause that's definitely low. the black smoke could be oil from something else other than the turbo.. but it doesn't rule out a bad turbo

He said white smoke, so I was thinking cold air condensation or an internal engine coolant leak, but not a turbo oil leak.
