So I put in a motor I bought from a guy on the forum that he got from Japan, he told me the turbos were no good and shipped some good ones along with the motor. I put the motor in started her up and it smoked like crazy, everyone said this is normal for a half hour or so, I wasn't to worried but when it went away I reved it up and it smoked just as bad. I also have a huge oil leak coming from the rear turbo, probably just one of those copper washers. How can I check if it's the turbos for sure?

 

Check the tube coming from the y pipe on the turbos. Also if you are running the stick IC you may want to pull it out and see if there is oil pooled on the bottom of it. That is a good indication of a turbo going bad.

Pulled the pipe by the y-pipe and no oil in it. What else would cause it to smoke so bad?
