hey new to the forums and got my 93 rx7 about 3 weeks ago.
already had a few minor problems with it...but one that i cant stand is the idle surges when im at a stop. goes to 11500 rpms back down to 1000..it used to do it when it was getting warmed up but now its just does it all the time? any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks

oh yeah and the mods on my car are a catback exhaust, apexi intake, hks blow off valve, and it has a non-sequential turbo setup on it.

 

Idle problems are usually from vacuum leaks.

1st off grab some car cleaner and start spraying around your intake seems to check for leakage. If your engine doesn't bog then you will have to check for some loose vaccum lines. Unfortunatly, the best way to inspect the bulk of them is to remove the UIM "upper intake manifold".

If you don't see anything unusual, try cleaning your ISC "idle speed control". Check the above link for that process.

 

^yeah i looked at the all the vacum lines and i dont have many considering the non-sequential set-up but i will try the other option. thanks for the info...
