looking at a 93 rx with bad compression, it just needs a rebuild right, and if so how much does that cost
final question : is the car worth around 8k

 

If you get a Mazda re-man engine, it will cost 3.5-4k. Rebuilding your engine will likely cost more. The other issue is the condition of the turbos. Just make sure the car is in excellent condition other than the engine and the title is clean.

 

Is the car in good shape? How are the turbos? 8K with bad compression...will it start and run?

 

also see if the tranny is okay if the car drives. YOu could get that 5th gear grind (ouch). I think 8K is okay if the turbos are good and interior/exterior are good and nothing else is wrong. You can get a reman for 2000+ shipping and then throw that in there. Figure to throw in around 4000 into the car when you are done. Changing clutch, belts..

 

they didnt say that it didnt run, they said it just had low compression so they marked it as doesnt run, becase it will probably die soon
